Preparative form: suspension concentrate.
Purpose: Systemic herbicide of soil action against annual dicotyledonous and cereal weeds in sunflower, carrot and nut crops.
Spectrum of action:
The drug destroys annual cereal and dicotyledonous weeds, including the following types of cereals: Echinóchloa, Phaláris (species), common windgrass (field), annual bluegrass, wild oats (Avena fatua), Digitaria, bristle grass (species);
Species of dicotyledonous: blue cornflower, veronica (species), galinsoga parviflora, redshank, knotweed rough, field mustard, fallopia convolvulus, sweet clover (species), jimsonweed, hempnettle, chickweed, stinging nettle, groundsel, silverweed, wild spinach, field mint, common sowthistle, spiny sowthistle, scarlet pimpernel, black nightshade, shepherd's purse, common galeopsis, duckweed, annual mercuries, garden tree-mallow (species), wild radish, daisy odorless, field violet, three-lobe beggartick, marsh woundwort, red-root amaranth, field pennycress.
Mechanism of Action: Prometrin is a systemic selective herbicide. It enters plants mainly through the roots, to a lesser extent through the leaves, moves acropetally along the xylem from roots and leaves to the apical meristems. In sensitive species, the processes of respiration, photosynthesis are suppressed and the activity of enzymes changes, as a result of which the growth of plants slows down, they lose turgor, wither and dry out.
